I saved this book to read on Valentine's Day, and I'm so glad I did. It was the perfect book for this special day. Charming, endearing, romantic without being overwrought, with a mystery to solve.Interestingly, this book proves that a good mystery doesn't have to involve a corpse. That's right. No one dies in this book, but there is still a mystery to solve and Chloe comes through, as she always does. The family dynamics in the book will have you laughing and feeling warm fuzzies at the same time. Chloe just has such heart!
Admittedly, I am Chloe's biggest fan. Any time I spend with her is great time for me. If you're looking for a book that will warm your heart and leave you with a smile on your face, pick up this book. You just can't go wrong with Chloe, and Blue,too, of course. I love this series. Thanks, Melanie, for the fun books and characters. Keep them coming!

I've enjoyed all of the Chloe Boston series but have to agree with other reviewers
1. Too many typos
2. Too short - this one ended at 70% then had the same excerpt that had been in the previous Chloe Boston book
3. I'd have to add that there was not enough mystery. It was basically - "This is happening then Chloe realizes it's X"
4. These are more novellas that probably shouldn't be more than $3
That said, I'm hooked and will likely continue reading the series.
Cupid's Revenge (A Chloe Boston Mystery Book 5)
Fifth in the series. I enjoyed this one which was more focused on Chloe's relationships with her soon-to-be inlaws. Short, but sweet. I really like this cozy series.
This book is about Chloe and Alex dealing with both of their families regarding their up coming wedding and dealing with a few mysteries at the same time. I am hooked on these books now and just purchased the latest book. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Recommend this book without hesitation. A fun read. It is a mystery and there is a murder to be solved and there is romance but it not offensive in any way.
In-laws... glad mine were never like Chloe's. There are plenty of giggles in this offering from Melanie Jackson, and not just about the in-laws and their pets. It was hard to tell which problem was the worst for Chloe... the murder... or the in-laws. A fun romp.
I really like the Chloe Boston series. The characters are fun, the animals are adorable, and the murder, if there is a murder, isn't horribly gross. Chloe's ability to find things adds an unusual dimension to the series.
However, the series would benefit from a better editor. Many typos abound throughout all the books in this series. Particularly annoying is the improper use of "X and I", i.e., "Dad gave the pizzas to Mom and I". It should be, Dad gave the pizzas to Mom and me. I overlooked the first incident, but given the plethora of this grammatical mistake in just one chapter of the book, I had to point this out because it drove me crazy. I would have given the book 4 stars if there hadn't been so many grammatical mistakes.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was the first book in this series, that I have read and I will probably check out the other books in this series. I liked the interactions between the characters in this book, because they were realistic.
